I used the old Western Union Easylink to do this and it did work. Since ATT has picked up Easylink I suspect it is still possible from that service. I used to send lots of Class "E" messages back home from the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT when we were in the Med. They came in very handy, although folks must know that these messages are handled by many RM (Radioman) personnel aboard ship, and if you want to get real personal, it's generally not a good idea. The recipient of Class "E" messages from ships at sea I believe is Western Union, and it does cost a pretty penny to do. I can imagine you could call Western Union and ask them if they send Class "E" messages, and for how much. I also believe that you can send messages via Western Union electronically, but I don't recall how. Autor: bkr
